Compliance

Compliance & Confidentiality

Institutional clients and financial partners engage ARGA Saudi Arabia on the understanding that client information and case material are handled with the same discipline expected of a regulated counterparty. This page sets out the procedures that apply to every engagement.

Client identification and KYC

Every engagement begins with client identification and Know Your Customer procedures consistent with applicable international standards. This includes verifying the identity of the client and, where relevant, the individuals and structures behind it before any substantive work begins.

UBO verification

Where a client is a corporate entity, structure, or investment vehicle, ARGA Saudi Arabia identifies and verifies the ultimate beneficial owner as part of onboarding, consistent with applicable due diligence standards.

Sanctions and PEP screening

Clients, counterparties, and relevant related parties are screened against applicable sanctions lists and assessed for politically exposed person status as part of standard onboarding and ongoing monitoring.

Conflict checks

Before accepting a new engagement, ARGA Saudi Arabia checks for conflicts of interest against existing and prior engagements, so a new matter does not compromise the interests of an existing client.

Confidentiality and information handling

Case material and client information are handled on a need-to-know basis internally and are not shared outside the scope of the engagement without the client's consent, except where disclosure is required by applicable law or regulation.

Cross-border compliance

Where a matter spans more than one jurisdiction, the applicable compliance standard is the higher of the jurisdictions involved, not the more permissive one. This applies consistently across ARGA's international practice.
